  • Remove the pull tab from the battery compartment on the back of the device.
  • Power on the device using the switch on the side of the speaker compartment.

Product Use

Adjusting the Probe
  • Push or pull on the probe until it reaches the desired low water alert level.
Installation
  • Hook probe on back of Evergreen Elf™ over the edge of your tree stand as shown in the illustrations below.

  • Use only room temperature water in your tree stand. Ice and very cold water can cause the sensors to freeze or be sluggish.
Startup Sequence

On startup the LED will blink green 5 times with an audio greeting.
For the first two minutes upon power on, Evergreen Elf will indicate the status of the water and battery every 10 seconds:

  • 1 green blink = water level sufficient
  • 3 red blinks + “Out of water!” voice prompt = water level low
  • 3 amber blinks + “Battery low!” voice prompt = battery low
Maintenance Sequence

Evergreen Elf will continue to monitor and indicate the water and battery level after the startup sequence with an LED indication every 10 seconds.

  • 1 green blink = water level sufficient

Once Evergreen Elf senses low water or low battery, it will indicate as follows and repeat the voice prompt every 60 minutes:

  • 3 red blinks + “Out of water!” voice prompt (every hour) = water level low
  • 3 amber blinks + “Battery low!” voice prompt (every hour) = battery low
Changing the Battery

Remove the back cover using a screwdriver to access the battery compartment. Evergreen Elf requires 2 AAA batteries and should be replaced annually.
